Check out below for our predictions of how Barcelona will perform in FIFA 23, with ratings used throughout the Ultimate Team season and at the start of Career Mode.

Top players

The 21/22 season has been a trophyless season for Barcelona, although their league form in 2022 does mean they are second in La Liga.

In a rather disappointing campaign, Barca's late form should see several stars get upgrades in FIFA 23.

This should include some of their young superstars, and we predict their three highest-rated stars will be:

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (OVR 88)

German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is one of FIFA 22's top goalkeepers, but he is sure to be relegated.

Barcelona's No. 1 is currently rated 88 OVR in FIFA 22's latest squad update, which is how we think he's rated in FIFA 23.

With an OVR of 88, we expect Ter Stegen to remain Barca's highest rated player.

Frankie de Jong (OVR 87)

Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong has been closely linked with a move to Manchester United, but while he remains a Barca player, we expect him to maintain an OVR of 87.

The 25-year-old has all the attributes of a quality midfielder and should be very popular early in the FUT 23 cycle.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (OVR 85)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang only signed for Barca in January, but he is still scoring double figures in La Liga.

The Gabon hitman took a beating in FIFA 22's early ratings, but his performance at his new club pushed him back to an 85 OVR.

Transfer: Not confirmed.

Barca's financial woes are well documented, so it would be a surprise if they splurge this summer.

Chelsea stars Marcos Alonso and Andreas Christensen have been heavily linked with the Catalan giants as they look to strengthen their defensive line-up.

Midfielders Ruben Neves and Bernardo Silva are also said to be in the spotlight, but unless there is a departure elsewhere, their cost may be too high.

New Contracts: None.

Departures:

Philippe Coutinho (OVR 82)

Danny Alves (OVR 77)

Upgrade

While none of Barcelona's more experienced stars will be promoted next season, their youngsters do!

Spain international Pedri and 22-year-old centre-back Ronald Araujo are both expected to get major upgrades next season.

We could also see some big boosts for teens Gavi and Nico Gonzalez, so keep an eye out for their potential in Career Mode.

Downgrade

After a tumultuous season, it's no surprise to see some of Barca's veteran stars take a beating in their FIFA 23 ratings.

Players such as Sergio Busquets, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba are all on the brink of decline at the twilight of their careers.
